Reproduction of the original outer lower door patch panel designed for use with 1955-59 Chevrolet and GMC pickup models. This tall patch panel is stamped in proper gauge steel with the correct slightly curved contour for an authentic appearance. Will allow replacement of the commonly rusted or damaged lower section without replacing the entire outer door skin. Comes with black EDP coating for rust resistance. Includes the bottom door edge and side lip for easier installation. Measures approximately 7″ high.

Application Notes: The 1955 application refers to the 2nd series (late) models.

^⁕ Many sheet metal products are delivered with a black electrophoretically deposited coating (EDP, or E-coat) for superior long-term corrosion protection, while others use a similar lacquer-based coating designed to provide protection for storage and shipping. Before installation, Classic Industries® recommends applying lacquer thinner with a shop towel to determine the type of coating. If the coating is removed by lacquer thinner, then it should be completely stripped from the product before any primer or paint is applied. If the lacquer thinner does not remove the EDP coating, it can simply be prepped, primed and painted without stripping.
