Manufactured to replicate the original style cut pile floor carpeting. This premium, 100% nylon carpet is manufactured using 40% more quality nylon than standard cut pile carpet, and is 50% heavier in weight for greater durability and a more luxurious feel. Each set is molded to fit your floor pan just like the original. For use with 2 or 4 door models, bench or buckets, manual or automatic transmissions, with center floor console.

This all new cut-pile carpet eliminates the problems of poor abrasion resistance, shedding fibers and “fuzzing”, while providing excellent protection against color fading offering a level of durability previously unavailable.

* What Exactly is Mass Backing? As part of the manufacturing process, a special latex coating is thermo-bonded to the back of the carpet to substantially increase the insulating and sound deadening properties of the basic carpet set. Then a 36 oz. jute padding is attached to the underside of the carpet.

Important: Due to variations in factory interior options minor trimming may be required for proper fit.

Application Notes: 1968-73 models were originally equipped with loop carpet, and 1974-79 models were equipped with cut pile carpet. The floor pan configuration is the same from 1968 through 1979.
